Meet Rabbi Asaf Aharon Prisman
Discover how a gathering sparked a revolution that reaches across 6 continents—and how you can bring this to your home.

THE BIRTH OF "PRISM OF TORAH"
During a reunion dinner with sushi and scotch with childhood friends in Toronto, Rabbi Prisman shared a dvar Torah that resonated deeply. His friends urged him to create weekly Torah insights in audio format for their daily commutes. Recognizing this Divine opportunity, Rabbi Prisman crafted a unique approach: engaging questions, profound concepts, practical applications, and captivating stories—all rooted in authentic Torah sources.
His goal was to provide a taste of Torah's four dimensions: pshat (simple meaning), remez (allusion), drash (homiletical), and sod (mystical)—the complete Pardes experience.
EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION
Rabbi Prisman's Torah journey began in Toronto, where he was immersed in an environment of Torah values and mitzvos. His formative years at Yeshivat Or Chaim (YOC) under Rabbi Avishai David shaped his approach to Torah learning—emphasizing both intellectual depth and practical clarity.
His advanced studies in Israel at Yeshivat Birkat Moshe and Netivot Olam deepened his commitment to making Torah wisdom accessible while maintaining its profound authenticity.
FROM PODCAST TO PUBLICATION
What began as MP3 recordings evolved into a professional podcast through partnership with Eli Kampf of Eli Podcast Productions. After seven successful years, the natural progression to published works allows these transformative insights to grace Shabbos tables worldwide.
The collaboration with editor Rabbi Doniel Stolbach ensured the spoken word's vibrancy translated beautifully to the written page.

Current Role and Community

Vision and Mission
"Every moment is an opportunity for elevation. Whether you're commuting to work, walking to the store, or waiting in line - these aren't just mundane moments, they're precious chances to connect with Hashem through Torah learning. My deepest desire is to show people that every action, every breath, every second of our lives can be infused with kedusha. We don't need to wait for special occasions - we can transform the ordinary into the extraordinary, right now, right where we are."
Rabbi Prisman's goal extends beyond education to transformation—helping readers develop stronger connections to Hashem and more meaningful Jewish lives. Through "Prism of Torah," he demonstrates that Torah study can be simultaneously traditional and innovative, scholarly and accessible, ancient and contemporary. His unique three-part structure speaks to the whole person: mind, heart, and soul.
