Ep. 12 · Tetzaveh · 13 min · 2018-02-22

When Absence Speaks Volumes

Moshe asked Hashem to erase his name from the Torah if Israel wasn't forgiven, and one parsha, Tetzaveh, is the only one without his name. Why is a man punished for caring so much about his people? And why this parsha, the one about the Kohanim? A Gemara in Zevachim says Moshe lost the role of Kohen Gadol, and that points to two ways of serving Hashem. Rabbi Asaf Prisman closes with Rebbetzin Kanievsky back from the hospital, and a line of women waiting.
