Bitachon in Hashem
Shemitah comes with a promise that seems to reward the doubters. Hashem says "if you ask what we will eat in the seventh year, I will give three times the crop in the sixth." So do only the people who worry get the bigger harvest, and doesn't Hashem already promise we will be satisfied? The Sforno and Rashi read the promise in a way that asks each of us where our own trust stands. Rabbi Asaf Prisman closes with a king's sick son and three brothers who each think they saved him.
