Avoiding Stumbling Blocks Lifnei Iver Lo Siten Michshol
Both laws come from one pasuk: do not put a stumbling block before the blind. Yet the Chinuch says that bad advice is forbidden only toward a fellow Jew, while handing a non-Jew a limb from a living animal is forbidden too. The Minchas Chinuch asks how one pasuk can have two different boundaries. From there come three investigations: when exactly you transgress, whether Lifnei Iver is its own prohibition or part of each one, and what happens if the other person's sin is only rabbinic. One definition of what the giver of the stumbling block really is sorts them out.
