A Yid's View of a Negative Experience

Rabban Gamliel lists the three things we must mention at the Seder: Pesach, Matzah, Maror. Maror comes last, though the bitterness of Mitzrayim came first. Why that order? Building on the Malbim, the answer touches how a Yid is meant to view a hard experience. A story from a dentist's waiting room, where something goes wrong with someone's father, closes it.
